Who counts as a child
- Under 3: free, no ticket needed. You may be asked for ID proving your child is under 3.
- Ages 3 to 13: child pricing.
- 14 and over: adult pricing, no exceptions for school students.
Supervision: children must be accompanied by an adult throughout the park. However, the requirements are stated variously as an adult ticket holder aged 16 or over accompanying under-14. Therefore, if older teenagers are bringing younger siblings, check the current rule before booking rather than assuming a 15-year-old can supervise.

Check whether a family pass beats four singles. Dreamworld sells family passes covering two adults and two children at a discounted combined rate. For a standard family of four that can undercut buying four separate tickets, so price both before you commit.
Height restrictions — the part that matters most
Height rules are enforced at the ride entrance, and a child who’s 5cm short doesn’t ride, regardless of what you’ve paid. Measure at home before you promise anything.
Many Dreamworld rides use two thresholds: a lower minimum if a child rides with a responsible adult, and a higher one to ride alone.

Some rides also carry a minimum age — the Dreamworld Flyer and Sky Voyager are listed at 4 years and up — and maximum heights apply on several, which catches taller teenagers.
The big thrill rides (Steel Taipan, the Giant Drop) have considerably higher minimums. Check each one on the park site before building the day around a specific coaster.
What’s included, and what isn’t
A standard child ticket covers single-day entry and general admission rides and attractions.
Included and often missed: a 30% discount on food and beverages at participating vendors inside the park, attached to each one-day adult or child pass. Worth knowing before you plan around it.
Not included: parking, express queue passes, and WhiteWater World, which is a separate seasonal park with its own entry. You’d need a combo covering both parks or a separate WhiteWater World ticket.
No outside food or drink can be brought into Dreamworld, including eskies. Plan on buying inside — which is where that 30% discount earns its keep.
Facilities for younger children
There’s an accredited baby care room with a quiet play area, breastfeeding rooms with curtains, armchairs and power points. Strollers, wheelchairs and mobility scooters are available for hire subject to availability, which is worth arriving early for on busy days.

Single day is right for most visiting families.
Multi-day passes make sense if you’re pairing Dreamworld with WhiteWater World in its season, or SkyPoint.
Annual passes are worth pricing if you’ll return within twelve months — but check eligibility first.
