Dreamworld Gold Coast Tickets: How to Book Online

Dreamworld is largest theme park of Australia, and getting there is not the hard part. The part people get wrong is the ticket: which type, from where, and whether a day pass or an annual pass actually fits the trip.

Quick facts

  • Closed: ANZAC Day and Christmas Day
  • Parking: free on site, with a paid priority option
  • Single-day entry: AUD 89 through TickYourList
  • Travel time: 25–35 minutes from Surfers Paradise, 45–60 minutes from Brisbane

What’s actually at Dreamworld

IMG

Over 40 rides and attractions across themed zones, and a wildlife side that catches first-timers off guard.

For thrills: Steel Taipan, Australia’s first triple-launch coaster, plus the Giant Drop and SkyVoyager. King Claw is the pendulum ride, reaching around 98 km/h.

For families with young kids: Kenny and Belinda’s Dreamland covers the gentler rides built around the Wiggles and ABC Kids characters, with Kenny’s Forest Flyer nearby.

For animal lovers: Tiger Island houses Sumatran tigers as part of a conservation programme, and it’s the Gold Coast’s only tiger habitat. The Australian Wildlife Experience and Corroboree Creek cover koalas, kangaroos, dingoes and crocodiles. Both reward lingering rather than a five-minute walk-through.

What’s new in 2026

IMG

Recent investment has gone into Rivertown, a jungle-themed precinct built out with a reported $150 million-plus. Jungle Rush is the headline addition, a family coaster that runs forwards and backwards. Murrissippi Motors is the calmer driving ride younger kids gravitate to. Jane’s Rivertown Restaurant is the newer sit-down option there.

Rides close for maintenance without much notice, so check the current status list before you travel and again on the app when you arrive.

The annual pass question, answered honestly

IMG

At $89 a day, two visits cost more than a $169 annual pass. So why would anyone buy a single day? Because eligibility matters. Dreamworld’s cheapest annual pass tiers are restricted to Queensland residents and eligible northern NSW postcodes, with a separate interstate version at different pricing and inclusions.

If you arevisiting from overseas or interstate for a week, the locals’ rate isn’t available to you, and a single-day ticket is the straightforward option.

The rule of thumb: if you live in south-east Queensland, or you are returning within twelve months, price the annual pass first. If you’re on a one-off holiday, a single day is what you want.

How to book

IMG

Pick the ticket type. Single day, multi-day, or a combo folding in SkyPoint or WhiteWater World.

Choose dated or flexible. A locked date is cheaper. Flexible costs more and buys you any operating day, usually within twelve months — worth it if your itinerary might move.

Check what’s included. Some tickets bundle WhiteWater World or SkyPoint, others are entry-only. Don’t assume.

Book online, not at the gate. The gate is $119 against $89–109 online. That gap is the single easiest saving on the trip, and you skip the ticket counter.

Keep the confirmation on your phone. E-tickets arrive within minutes. Nothing to print.

Getting there and parking

IMG

Dreamworld sits on Dreamworld Parkway in Coomera, just off the Pacific Motorway. From Surfers Paradise it’s 25 to 35 minutes via Smith Street and the M1, exiting at Coomera. From Brisbane, allow 45 to 60 minutes — longer than most guides suggest, and worth building into a 10am arrival.

Parking is free, with space for well over a thousand cars, dedicated bus bays, and a paid priority parking option closer to the entrance if you’d rather not walk. Accessible bays sit near the gate for vehicles displaying a disability permit.

Without a car: Coomera station is the nearest rail connection, with bus or taxi from there, and Surfside Buslines runs routes connecting Dreamworld with Surfers Paradise. Coach transfers from Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach are also worth pricing if you are not renting.

Planning the day

IMG

Thrill-seekers should hit Steel Taipan and the Giant Drop in the first hour, then work through the rest as queues build.

Families with young children do best anchoring the day on Kenny and Belinda’s Dreamland and the wildlife precinct, with Murrissippi Motors somewhere in the middle.

Animal lovers should block out real time for Tiger Island and Corroboree Creek.

Photographers get the cleanest shots down Main Street before mid-morning.

Practical tips

IMG
  • Arrive at opening. The first hour is consistently the quietest on the popular rides, and on a short 10:30am–4pm day it’s a meaningful share of your total time.
  • Outside food and drink aren’t permitted, so plan on eating in the park rather than packing lunch. Refillable water bottles and in-park dining are the workable approach.
  • Wear closed shoes. Between the walking and the safety checks on thrill rides, they save hassle.
  • Lockers are available inside if you’d rather not carry bags all day.
  • Check ride status on arrival. Maintenance closures happen, and knowing early lets you rebuild the day rather than discovering it at the queue entrance.

Ready to book

Dreamworld earns the “Australia’s largest” label, and Rivertown has given it genuine reason for a return visit. Two decisions decide how the day goes: book online rather than at the gate, and check your date’s actual opening hours before you plan the morning.

Book Dreamworld entry, add SkyPoint for the skyline view, or check WhiteWater World if you are visiting in its season. The full list of things to do on the Gold Coast covers the rest.

FAQs

How much are Dreamworld Gold Coast tickets?

A one-day adult ticket through TickYourList is AUD 89. Booking direct with Dreamworld runs from $99 for a dated ticket and $109 flexible, with the gate price at $119. Combo and multi-day options cost more depending on inclusions.

What time does Dreamworld open and close?

Usually 10am to 5pm, but hours vary by date and some days run shorter, around 10:30am to 4pm. Check the park calendar for your specific date rather than assuming a 5pm close.

Is parking free at Dreamworld?

Yes. General parking is free with over a thousand spaces, plus accessible bays near the entrance. A paid priority parking option is available if you want to park closer.

Is WhiteWater World included with a Dreamworld ticket?

Not by default. WhiteWater World is a separate seasonal water park next door, open in the warmer months only. You need a combo ticket or multi-attraction pass for both.

Is an annual pass better value than a day ticket?

For two or more visits, yes — but the cheapest tiers are restricted to Queensland residents and eligible northern NSW postcodes. Interstate and overseas visitors should compare the interstate pass against a single-day ticket for their actual trip length.

What’s the quietest day to visit Dreamworld?

Tuesday to Thursday during school term. Weekends and Queensland school holidays are consistently busiest.

How far is Dreamworld from Surfers Paradise?

About 25 to 35 minutes by car. From Brisbane, allow 45 to 60 minutes via the M1.

Can I bring my own food into Dreamworld?

No. Outside food and drink aren’t permitted. There’s a range of in-park dining, and Rivertown added new options alongside the precinct.
