The Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix 2026 runs from Thursday 3 December to Sunday 6 December at Yas Marina Circuit, and it closes the season for the eighteenth year running. Race start is 5pm local on the Sunday, which means the last twenty laps happen under floodlights.
Tickets open around AED 1,695 for a four-day general admission wristband and climb past AED 16,000 once you get into hospitality. That spread is wide, so the real question is not whether you can afford a seat. It is which seat earns its money.
This guide covers the session timetable, every ticket tier, where to actually buy, the Yasalam concert lineup, hotels on and off Yas Island, how to reach the circuit from Dubai, and what race week costs once you add the bits nobody budgets for. If you are building a trip around the weekend, you can also book Yas Island multi-park tickets for the days either side through our Yas Island multi-park pass.
When is the Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix 2026, and what runs each day

Four days, not three. Thursday is free of track action for most ticket holders but carries the opening concert, and plenty of regulars treat it as the best-value night of the weekend.
| Day | Date | What happens | Worth turning up for? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Thursday | 3 December | Pit lane walk for selected tickets, opening concerts | Yes, if your ticket covers it |
| Friday | 4 December | Free Practice 1 and 2 | Good for photography, thin crowds |
| Saturday | 5 December | Free Practice 3 and qualifying | The sharpest hour of the weekend |
| Sunday | 6 December | Race, 58 laps, 5pm start | Obviously |
Yas Marina is 5.281 km over 16 corners, and the lap record still sits at 1:26.103 from 2021. Qualifying matters more here than the grid position data suggests, because overtaking into Turn 5 is the only move that reliably sticks.
Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix 2026 ticket prices, tier by tier

Prices below are four-day packages unless noted, taken from the official listings. They drift upward as the weekend approaches, and the cheaper grandstands tend to vanish first.
| Ticket | From (AED) | Seat? | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| General Admission, Abu Dhabi Hill | 1,695 | No, grass banking | Budget, families, concert-led trips |
| North Grandstand | 2,395 | Covered, reserved | Turn 5 overtaking, screens |
| South Grandstand | 2,600 | Covered, reserved | Turns 7 to 9, good value |
| West Grandstand | 3,100 | Covered, reserved | Long straight, DRS zone |
| Marina Grandstand | 3,400 | Covered, reserved | Yacht backdrop, slow corners |
| Main Grandstand | 5,500 | Covered, reserved | Start, pit stops, podium |
| North Yas Suite | 5,600 | Suite plus balcony | All-inclusive, pit lane walk |
| Premium hospitality | 7,995 to 16,995+ | Lounge seating | Paddock access, catering |
Abu Dhabi Hill deserves a word of defence. It is a grass bank rather than a seat, the view is partial, and nobody pretends otherwise, yet it costs a third of the Main Grandstand and still includes the concerts. For a first visit on a budget, that trade is sound.
Where to buy Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix 2026 tickets

Two channels are official: the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix website and Ticketmaster, its appointed partner. Everything else is resale, and resale in December gets expensive fast.
- Official site — the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix store carries every tier, including the hospitality products that never reach resellers.
- Ticketmaster — same inventory, useful if you already hold an account and a saved card.
- Hotel packages — bookable at checkout on the official site, bundling a room with the seat.
- Resellers — legitimate ones exist, although prices sit 15 to 40 per cent above face value once a tier sells out.
One detail that catches people: tickets are digital and land in the official app shortly before the weekend, not at the time of purchase. Do not panic in November when nothing has arrived.
What your race ticket actually includes beyond the track

A Yas Marina ticket is unusually generous compared with other rounds, and that is deliberate. Abu Dhabi sells the whole island, not just the circuit.
| Included | General Admission | Grandstand | Hospitality |
|---|---|---|---|
| Reserved covered seat | No | Yes | Yes |
| After-race concerts | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Fan Zone and fan shop | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Giant screens in sight | Partial | Yes | Yes |
| Food and drink included | No | No | Yes |
| Pit lane walk | No | Selected | Usually |
Three and four-day holders also get a city-wide perks pass: free entry or discounts at a rotating list of Abu Dhabi attractions across race week. It is not the headline reason to buy, though it quietly covers a museum morning or two. Our Abu Dhabi tickets range fills the gaps the pass misses.
Yasalam after-race concerts 2026, night by night

Concert access comes with the race ticket, which is why the Thursday wristband sells so well. Golden Circle upgrades are separate and sell out early.
| Night | Date | Headliners |
|---|---|---|
| Thursday | 3 December | Zara Larsson and Lewis Capaldi |
| Friday | 4 December | Alex Warren |
| Saturday | 5 December | Imagine Dragons |
| Sunday | 6 December | The Chainsmokers and The Script |
Two things sit outside the standard ticket. Andrea Bocelli plays Etihad Arena on Wednesday 2 December as part of Yasalam Classics, and Anyma brings ÆDEN to Yas Gateway Park on the Friday as the official after-party. Both need their own ticket.
Where to stay for the Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix 2026

Yas Island hotels sell out months ahead and price accordingly, so the honest answer splits three ways depending on what you value.
| Where | Walk to circuit? | Race-week reality |
|---|---|---|
| W Abu Dhabi, Yas Island | On the track itself | Rooms overlook the pit straight, priced like it |
| Yas Plaza cluster | 10 to 15 minutes | Seven hotels, mid-range, fills first |
| Hilton and DoubleTree, Yas | 15 minutes | Beach access, good middle ground |
| The WB Abu Dhabi | 10 minutes | Themed, strong for families |
| Abu Dhabi corniche | 25 to 30 minutes | Cheaper, needs a taxi each way |
| Dubai | 60 to 90 minutes | Cheapest beds, longest nights |
Staying in Dubai works for one day. It stops working the moment you buy a four-day ticket, because the drive back after a concert finishing past 1am is grim. Our guide to Yas Island hotel and ticket packages runs through which properties bundle attraction entry alongside the room.
Getting to Yas Marina Circuit from Dubai

Yas Island sits roughly 90 minutes down the E11 from Dubai Marina, less from the southern suburbs. Four routes work, and they suit different budgets.
| How | Cost | Time | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|
| Self-drive | AED 80 to 120 a day plus fuel | 90 min | Best if you are staying off-island |
| Taxi or ride-hailing | AED 200 to 300 each way | 90 min | Simple, pricey on Sunday night |
| Intercity bus E100 or E101 | From AED 25 | 2 hrs plus transfer | Cheapest, change to route 184 |
| Hotel or ticket shuttle | Included on some bookings | 2 hrs | Zero planning, fixed times |
Zayed International Airport is a 15 to 20 minute drive from the circuit, which makes a fly-in-fly-out weekend genuinely practical. If you want the drive broken down properly, our Dubai to Abu Dhabi guide covers tolls, timings and the Salik traps, while the Yas Island shuttle from Dubai page lists which tickets include transport.
Race-day transport, parking and shuttles

Once you are on the island, the circuit runs its own loop and it works well. Yas Mall is the official parking zone, it is free, and free shuttles run from there to every grandstand.
- Circuit Circular Shuttle — roughly every 15 minutes, serving South, Marina, West and North grandstands, running until around 1am.
- Yas Courtesy Shuttle — every 15 minutes to the Main Grandstand, North and West.
- Yas Plaza parking — around AED 200 a day if you want to be closer than the mall.
- Public bus 184 — runs from Abu Dhabi Main Bus Station to the circuit.
Leaving is the hard part, not arriving. Taxis thin out badly after the podium, so either stay for the concert and travel at midnight or walk to Yas Mall and take the shuttle. Trying to beat the crowd by leaving on lap 55 rarely works.
Weather, visas and the practical paperwork

Early December is the single best week of the Abu Dhabi calendar, which is not a coincidence. Daytime sits around 27 to 29°C with low humidity, and evenings drop to the low twenties, so a light layer earns its place in the bag.
| Thing | Detail | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| Temperature | 27 to 29°C day, 20 to 22°C night | Grandstands get cold after sunset |
| Rain | Rare, under 5mm for the month | Not worth planning around |
| Visa | Visa-free or on arrival for many passports | Passport needs 6 months validity |
| Indian passport holders | Visa on arrival with valid US, UK or Schengen visa | Otherwise apply for the e-visa early |
| Currency | Dirham, pegged to the dollar | Cards work everywhere, carry a little cash |
Noise is the one thing visitors underestimate. Earplugs are sold at the circuit, although they cost more there than anywhere, and a child without them will not last until lap 20.
What else to book on Yas Island during race week

Friday morning and Saturday morning are dead time at the circuit unless you love practice sessions. That is when the island earns its keep, and the parks run shorter queues than usual because half the visitors are trackside.
- Ferrari World Abu Dhabi tickets — the thematic fit is obvious, and Formula Rossa still outruns anything else on the island. Book Ferrari World tickets.
- Warner Bros World tickets — fully indoor, which matters if the afternoon turns warm. Warner Bros World with free shuttle.
- SeaWorld Abu Dhabi tickets — the slowest-paced of the four, good for a rest day. SeaWorld with shuttle.
- Yas Waterworld tickets — December water temperatures are fine, and the park is heated. Book Yas Waterworld.
- Louvre Abu Dhabi tickets — a 25-minute drive to Saadiyat, worth the Friday morning. Louvre Abu Dhabi.
- Qasr Al Watan tickets — the presidential palace, and the best hour in the city for photographs. Qasr Al Watan.
Doing two or more parks? Then the multi-park pass guide works out which combination costs least, since the pass stays valid for six days from first use and race week is exactly six days long. For everything beyond the island, things to do in Abu Dhabi and Abu Dhabi landmarks cover the mainland.
What a realistic Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix 2026 weekend costs

Two people, four days, mid-range everything, flights excluded. Figures are indicative rather than quoted, although they are close enough to plan against.
| Line item | Budget (AED) | Mid-range (AED) | Comfortable (AED) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tickets, two people | 3,390 | 6,200 | 11,000 |
| Hotel, three nights | 1,800 | 4,500 | 9,000 |
| Food and drink | 900 | 1,800 | 3,500 |
| Transport | 300 | 700 | 1,500 |
| Attractions either side | 400 | 900 | 1,800 |
| Total | 6,790 | 14,100 | 26,800 |
The jump from budget to mid-range buys a covered seat and a bed on the island, which is where most of the comfort actually lives. Going further mostly buys catering.
Mistakes first-time Abu Dhabi F1 visitors make

- Booking a Dubai hotel to save money, then spending the saving on four taxi round trips.
- Skipping Thursday. It is the cheapest concert night and the pit lane walk day.
- Assuming the grandstand roof means shade all afternoon, when the sun crosses during the session.
- Leaving the circuit immediately after the podium, which lands you in the worst twenty minutes of the weekend.
- Buying park tickets separately when a six-day multi-park pass covers the whole week for less.
- Forgetting that alcohol is served at licensed venues only, so the supermarket run does not work the way it does at home.
Beyond the island itself, our Abu Dhabi day trip plan sequences a non-race day properly, and places to visit in Yas Island covers the quieter corners between the parks.
Is the Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix 2026 worth the trip?

For a first Grand Prix, few rounds beat it. The circuit is modern and walkable, the weather behaves, the island absorbs a non-racing partner without complaint, and the concert lineup alone would sell tickets in most cities.
| Go if | Think twice if |
|---|---|
| You want a first F1 weekend that is easy to organise | You only care about raw overtaking numbers |
| Someone in the group does not love racing | Your budget stops at the flights |
| You are combining it with Dubai or the parks | You need a December beach holiday above all |
| A title fight is still alive going into round 24 | You dislike crowds and late nights |
The honest caveat: Yas Marina is not the best racing circuit on the calendar, and nobody who follows the sport closely would claim otherwise. As a four-day event though, with the concerts, the twilight start and an island that handles 150,000 people without falling over, it is hard to beat. Browse Yas Island tickets for the days either side.
Frequently asked questions
Thursday 3 December to Sunday 6 December 2026 at Yas Marina Circuit on Yas Island. The race itself starts at 5pm local time on the Sunday and runs 58 laps, finishing under floodlights.
Four-day general admission starts around AED 1,695. Grandstands run roughly AED 2,395 to AED 5,500 depending on the stand, suites open near AED 5,600, and premium hospitality sits between AED 7,995 and AED 16,995 or more.
General admission to the Yasalam after-race concerts is open to Abu Dhabi GP ticket holders, so a valid race ticket gets you in. Golden Circle upgrades, Yasalam Classics and the official after-parties are sold separately.
Main Grandstand for the start, pit stops and the podium. North for overtaking into Turn 5. Marina for the yacht backdrop and the slow-corner sequence. West if you want the long straight and the DRS zone.
You can, and plenty of people do, although it only makes sense for the Sunday alone. The drive runs about 90 minutes each way, and leaving Yas Island after a concert that ends past 1am turns a long day into a punishing one.
More on Abu Dhabi race week
5pm local time on Sunday 6 December. Gates and the Fan Zone open far earlier, and the support races fill the afternoon, so most ticket holders arrive by early afternoon.
On Yas Island if the budget allows, since you can walk or take a free shuttle. W Abu Dhabi sits on the track, the Yas Plaza cluster covers the mid-range, and the Abu Dhabi corniche is 25 to 30 minutes away for less money.
Yas Mall is the official free parking zone, with free shuttles running to every grandstand roughly every 15 minutes. Yas Plaza parking sits closer and costs around AED 200 a day.
Many nationalities enter the UAE visa-free or receive a visa on arrival. Indian passport holders qualify for visa on arrival with a valid US, UK or Schengen visa or residence permit, and otherwise should apply for the e-visa well ahead.
Friday and Saturday mornings are quiet at the circuit, which makes them ideal for Ferrari World, Warner Bros World, SeaWorld Abu Dhabi or Yas Waterworld. A multi-park pass stays valid for six days, and race week runs exactly six days.
