The 12 museum galleries are chronologically arranged in an inspiring manner, narrating the story of humanity with an artistic filter. Through an incredible collection of art installations, each of these 12 chapters unveils commonalities that have existed throughout the history of humanity.
Louvre hosts 4 temporary exhibitions every year. These exhibitions are the result of a unique collaboration between Abu Dhabi and France. In partnership with 13 French Museum partners, Louvre Abu Dhabi will bring together exemplary art for visitors of the Middle East.

New works on loan include Haystacks, End of Summer by Claude Monet, Old Man in Front of Children's Tombs by Osman Hamdi Bey, and Caravans, Gypsy Camp near Arles by Vincent van Gogh. You can also see The Bellelli Family by Edgar Degas and Southern Landscape by Pierre Bonnard. Discover the Arab world’s contribution to post-impressionism through Georges Hanna Sabbagh’s masterpieces. His unique cultural perspective bridges French and Egyptian art, offering a fresh take on family and identity in 20th-century Paris.
The galleries are set at a relatively cool temperature to protect the installations. You might want to consider carrying a stole/scarf, especially for kids.
It is recommended to carry swimming clothes and a towel for the kayak tour.
Flash photography is not allowed in some areas with sensitive exhibits.
Food and water are strictly prohibited inside the galleries.
For security purposes, backpacks and luggage are not allowed inside the museum. You can deposit your belongings in the cloakroom provided.
This experience is accessible by wheelchair and strollers. Wheelchairs and strollers are available upon request.
The kayak tour is not suitable for children under 6, people with mobility impairments, and pregnant women.

Only single kayaks are available for the tour unless you are a family, in that case, double kayaks will be provided.

The 'Picturing the Cosmos' exhibition (July 18, 2023 – June 2025) takes children on a journey through art's representation of space in different cultures.
The 'Post-Impressionism: Beyond Appearances' exhibition (16 October 2024 to 9 February 2025) will display works from painters like Vincent van Gogh, on loan from the Musée d’Orsay.
The 'Kids Go Free' offer, which grants one free child ticket with every adult ticket purchased, is valid until August 31.
