- Getting to the Art Institute is convenient with buses, trains, and valet parking available at the Modern Wing entrance. Nearby underground parking lots are also just a block away.
- Avoid bringing flash photography, tripods, selfie sticks, and large bags as they are not allowed inside the museum premises.
- For safety, all bags larger than 13 x 17 x 4 inches need to be checked. This includes backpacks.
- Selfie sticks are prohibited to protect the artwork and ensure a pleasant experience for all visitors.
- Illinois residents can enjoy free admission on Thursday evenings (5 PM - 8 PM), but note that it tends to be crowded during this time.
