You'll find it inside Resorts World Sentosa, at 8 Sentosa Gateway, Singapore 098269. Easiest way over? MRT to HarbourFront, wander into VivoCity, jump on the Sentosa Express. Get off at the first stop and the big spinning Universal globe is just round the corner.

So, is it worth it?

Love theme parks? Then yeah, no question. Sure, it's smaller than Orlando or Hollywood. But the rides are fun, the theming's great, and you can genuinely cover most of it in a day. Try for a weekday. Your Experience at Universal Studios Singapore

Right, let's walk through the day. Zone by zone, roughly in the order you'll hit them, with a few honest opinions thrown in. Steal our route or ignore it completely, up to you.

1. In you go

First, the photo at the globe. You'll do it, everyone does. Then it's voucher on your phone, ID out, and you're in. Our biggest tip of the whole page? Turn up before opening time. That first hour is gold.

2. Hollywood, then New York

Hollywood Boulevard is palm trees, neon and shops. Lovely, but not where you want to burn your quiet morning, so keep walking. Over in New York, the little ones will want Sesame Street Spaghetti Space Chase. It's gentle. Very gentle.

3. Sci-Fi City

Now we're talking. TRANSFORMERS The Ride: The Ultimate 3D Battle drops you into the middle of a giant robot scrap, and years after opening, it's still brilliant. Next door, Battlestar Galactica: HUMAN vs. CYLON is two coasters racing each other. HUMAN's the seated one. CYLON leaves your feet dangling, if you're brave. There's Accelerator too, a spinny one.

4. Ancient Egypt

Revenge of the Mummy. Dark, fast, indoors, and it's got a couple of tricks up its bandages that we're not going to ruin for you. Need a breather after? Treasure Hunters is a slow jeep-style trundle through the sand.

5. The Lost World

Dinosaur time. On Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure you're in a round raft, and you're getting wet, full stop. Canopy Flyer swings you over the treetops. Dino-Soarin' is a cute one for small kids. If the WaterWorld stunt show's running that day, go. The front rows get splashed, just so you know.

6. Far Far Away

Shrek's land, with the huge castle you'll have seen in every photo. Puss in Boots' Giant Journey is a family coaster, and Enchanted Airways and Magic Potion Spin are perfect for the tiniest riders.

7. Minion Land

The new kid on the block. Loud, yellow, chaotic, great fun. Despicable Me Minion Mayhem is the big one here, with Silly Swirly and Buggie Boogie alongside. It gets busy by about late morning, so either rush here first or leave it till the end.

How much time to give it

Basically the whole day. Six to eight hours lets you tick off the main rides and see a show or two without sprinting. And don't pop out for lunch, because there's no getting back in on the same ticket.

Height limits worth knowing

• Battlestar Galactica: 125 cm minimum
• Revenge of the Mummy: 122 cm minimum

You've got two Universal Studios Singapore tickets to pick from. Both are full-day tickets. Both throw in an SGD 10 voucher. So what's different? Basically, how long you'll stand in lines. Choose your date and you'll see today's price for each.

Universal Studios Day Pass + SGD 10 Voucher

The classic. In you go for the day, every zone, every ride and show that's open. You'll use the normal queues, and on a quiet Tuesday that's really no big deal.

• One-day access to Universal Studios Singapore
• Entry to all attractions in the park
• SGD 10 meal or retail voucher for food or shopping
• Pick this if: it's a weekday, you're watching the budget, or you're not fussed about doing every single ride

Universal Studios Express Entry + Voucher

Same day out, but you get to skip the regular lines at participating rides. Picture a Saturday in the school holidays with 60 to 90 minute waits. Yeah. This ticket can easily get you twice as many rides.

• One-day park access
• Express entry at participating attractions
• SGD 10 meal or retail voucher
• Pick this if: you're going at the weekend or on a holiday, you're short on time, or your kids (or your partner) don't do waiting

Quick heads-up. Express normally means one go per participating ride, and some rides don't take it at all. Resorts World Sentosa keeps the current list in its ticketing terms. Just want Express on its own? There's a separate Express Pass page for that.

Kids

USS counts 4 to 12 year olds as children, and under-4s normally get in free. If there's a child ticket for your date, you'll see it when you pick tickets.

Know Before You Go

Grab a coffee and give this a skim. It's basically everything we'd text a mate before their first USS trip.

Ticket delivery and entry

• Booked? Check your email. Your voucher should turn up pretty quickly.
• Phone with the voucher, plus photo ID. Have both ready before you reach the turnstiles.
• Skim the final voucher properly. The exact place to redeem it is written on there, along with anything else you need to know.
• No printing needed. It's a mobile ticket, unless your confirmation says otherwise.
• Strictly no re-entry. Once you walk out, that's your day done.

Opening hours

Gates open at 10 AM every day. Closing time is the bit that jumps around. It might be 6 PM. It might be 9 PM. Usually it's 7 or 8. Here's roughly how late 2026 looks:

• Late October: mostly 6 PM on Thursdays to Saturdays, and 8 PM the rest of the week
• November to mid-December: mostly 8 PM, with some evenings finishing at 7 PM
• 14 to 31 December: open till 9 PM every night for the holidays

Halloween Horror Nights tends to mess with this, as the day park sometimes shuts a bit earlier on those nights. Our advice? Check the Resorts World Sentosa calendar or app the evening before, and don't rely on what your mate said last year.

Getting there

Plug 8 Sentosa Gateway, Singapore 098269 into your phone. That's Resorts World Sentosa, and the park's inside. For most people the trip starts at HarbourFront MRT (purple NE line, orange Circle line). VivoCity mall is literally upstairs from the platforms. From there:

• Sentosa Express monorail (easiest): go up to VivoCity Level 3 and look for Lobby L. It's S$4 per adult, paid once on the way in, and kids under 7 ride free with an adult. Trains run roughly 7 AM till midnight. Get off at Resorts World Station, the very first stop, and you're a couple of minutes' walk from the Universal globe.
• RWS8 bus (cheapest): just S$1, from VivoCity or the stop opposite HarbourFront bus interchange. It drops you right at Resorts World. Not many people know about it, so it's handy when the monorail queue is long.
• Bus 123: coming from elsewhere in the city? This ordinary public bus goes all the way to Resorts World, and you just pay the usual fare.
• Walk the Sentosa Boardwalk (free): find Lobby F on VivoCity's ground floor and off you go. It's about 2 km and takes 15 to 20 minutes. Part of the path is diverted while Resorts World builds, but there's a covered route.
• Cable car (most scenic): the fun option, leaving from HarbourFront Tower II or Mount Faber. Doing both lines is roughly S$35 a head for adults and S$25 for kids, and it's running from 8:45 AM till 10 PM. Bit of a catch: it doesn't land at Universal, so you'll finish with a short monorail hop or a walk.
• Taxi or Grab: straight to Resorts World. Cars pay an island entry fee at the gantry, S$2 to S$6 depending on the time of day, which gets added to your fare.
• Driving: park at Resorts World's B1 East car park. Weekdays, the first hour's about S$6.50. Fridays, weekends and public holidays cost a little more.

Prices do creep up now and then, so check the official Sentosa site if you want to be sure.

What to bring (and what to leave behind)

• Sun cream, a cap and a water bottle you can refill. It's hot, it's humid, and you'll be outside most of the day.
• A poncho or a change of clothes if you're doing Jurassic Park Rapids.
• Outside food and drinks aren't allowed in, but there are loads of places to eat inside (and you've got that SGD 10 voucher).
• Drones, scooters, skates and anything that looks like a weapon have to stay outside. Costumes and full-face masks aren't allowed either, unless there's a special event.
• Bags get checked at the entrance. Lockers are available inside the park.

Weather

Singapore rain is dramatic but usually doesn't hang about. If there's lightning, outdoor rides stop for a while and then start up again. You won't get a refund for a soggy day, so pack a poncho and carry on.

Kids and accessibility

• Strollers and wheelchairs can be rented near the entrance.
• There's a baby care room near Guest Services.
• Check each ride's height limit before promising the kids anything!

Food, toilets and other bits

• There's food in every zone, from snack stands to sit-down spots like Mel's Drive-In, Loui's NY Pizza Parlor and Discovery Food Court. Plenty of places have halal options, but ask staff to be sure.
• Toilets are in every zone, so you're never far from one.
• Need cash? ATMs are just outside the park, in Basement 1 of the Resorts World Forum.
• Big bags and luggage can go to the Rental Services counter at the entrance.

Handy tips

• Get there before opening and head straight for Minion Land or Sci-Fi City.
• Download the Resorts World Sentosa app for live wait times and show schedules.
• Weekdays outside school holidays are the quietest.

Ride the MRT to HarbourFront and walk into VivoCity (it's right there). Up on Level 3 you'll find the Sentosa Express. It costs S$4, and you get off at the first stop, Resorts World. Rather save a few dollars? Grab the RWS8 bus for S$1, or just walk across the Sentosa Boardwalk for free, which takes 15 to 20 minutes. The cable car and taxis work too.

How much is the Sentosa Express?

S$4 for a grown-up, and you only pay it on the way in. Little ones under 7 go free with an adult. It runs from about 7 in the morning until midnight.

What time does Universal Studios Singapore open and close?

Doors open at 10 AM, every single day. Closing is trickier: it can be 6, 7, 8 or even 9 PM depending on the date. Lots of days in late 2026 finish at 8, and over the Christmas holidays (14 to 31 December) it's 9 PM. Have a quick look at the Resorts World Sentosa calendar the night before.

Is there parking at Universal Studios Singapore?

There is, down in the B1 East car park at Resorts World. On a weekday the first hour's about S$6.50, and it's a little pricier on Fridays, weekends and public holidays. Don't forget the island entry charge at the Sentosa gantry too, which is S$2 to S$6 depending on the time.

How many zones are there?

Is the Express Pass worth it?

If you're going on a weekend, a public holiday or during school breaks, honestly, yes. You could be waiting an hour or more for the big rides otherwise. On a sleepy weekday you'll probably manage fine without. You can also buy the Express Pass on its own.

Can I leave the park and come back?

Unfortunately not. Step outside and your ticket's done for the day, so grab lunch in the park.

What age counts as a child?

Anyone from 4 to 12. Under-4s usually don't need a ticket at all.

Can I bring food into Universal Studios Singapore?

Outside snacks and drinks aren't allowed in. You won't go hungry though, there's food everywhere, and you've got that SGD 10 voucher to put towards it.

Are there height limits on rides?

Yep. You'll need to be 125 cm for Battlestar Galactica, 122 cm for Revenge of the Mummy and 102 cm for TRANSFORMERS. Each ride has a measuring board at the entrance, so check there on the day.
