Before the Dive
Upon arrival at Newcastle’s Lake Macquarie Airport, complete your check-in process, attend a safety briefing, and gear up for your skydiving experience. Your instructor will ensure you are ready before boarding the aircraft.
Highlights of the Dive
The Ascent: Experience a scenic 20-minute flight to 15,000 feet, soaking in panoramic views of Lake Macquarie and the Newcastle coastline.
The Leap: Dive into a thrilling 60-second freefall, hurtling at 200 km/h while securely attached to your skilled tandem instructor.
The Descent: After the parachute opens, glide serenely for 5–7 minutes, admiring the beauty of Blacksmiths Beach and Hunter Valley as you descend towards the shore.
The Landing: Conclude your skydiving experience with a memorable beach landing on the sandy shores of Newcastle.
Don't forget to bring your ID to ensure a smooth check-in process.
Wear closed-toe shoes like trainers or running shoes for added foot protection during your experience.
Electronic devices, including cameras, are not allowed during the jump for safety reasons.
Avoid bringing dentures or loose items onboard; store them securely with the staff or at your accommodation.
Alcohol and recreational drugs are strictly prohibited within 8 hours before the jump, as well as scuba diving 24 hours prior to your scheduled skydive.
This activity is limited to participants aged 16 and above 115 kg. Those exceeding 105 kg will require additional safety checks by an expert.
Pregnant women and individuals with epilepsy or heart conditions are advised against participating in this activity.
If you have a dislocated shoulder, inform the staff in advance to arrange a suitable freefall position.
The meeting point is at Skydive Sydney - Newcastle on Pacific Highway, approximately 2 hours away from Sydney.
Minors under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present on the jump day to complete necessary paperwork.
Complete the online check-in and pre-registration with the Australian Parachute Federation (APF) before heading to the drop zone.
Additional charges apply for participants over 94kg: 94 – 104kg = +AUD $55, 105 – 114kg = +AUD $80, 115kg and above = +AUD $105.
You can opt for skydiving photos and videos at an extra cost to capture the thrilling moments.
Guests wearing glasses or contacts will be provided with suitable goggles for the jump.
Weather conditions can affect the activity, so arrive without time constraints. In case of unfavorable weather, your jump will be rescheduled for your convenience.
