Cash or a credit card to cover the Muir Woods entrance fee (USD 15 for adults; free for children) and for the optional Sausalito-San Francisco ferry ride.

Items Not Permitted

No oversized luggage, suitcases, or large bags are allowed on the tour or at Alcatraz Island due to security regulations.
Except for registered service animals, pets are not allowed.
No prohibited substances or intoxicants in any form are permitted.
Smoking is prohibited on the bus, ferry, and all tour locations.
Food and beverages are not allowed on Alcatraz Island, except for the dock area.

Accessibility Notes

Wheelchair access is limited on the tour. Some areas of Muir Woods and Alcatraz Island have uneven paths that may pose challenges for those with mobility issues.

Additional Details

Entrance fees for Muir Woods are not included in the tour tickets and must be paid separately.
While gratuities for guides are optional, a 20% tip is recommended.
Meals and beverages are not provided, so remember to bring your own.
If you wish, you can separately purchase same-day ferry tickets from Sausalito back to San Francisco on the day of the tour.
