Food and beverages are not permitted inside the museum, but there are various dining options nearby. Exceptions are made for pregnant women, individuals with special needs, and those who are unwell.
The Reina Sofía Museum operating hours are Monday, Wednesday to Saturday from 10am to 9pm, and Sundays from 10am to 2:30pm. Closed on Tuesdays.
The museum is closed on January 1 and 6, May 1 and 15, November 9, and December 24, 25, and 31.

Due to conservation requirements, the exhibition spaces are maintained at a constant temperature of 21º Celsius. It's advisable to have a light jacket, even in summer.
Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult to enter.
