Spanning 41 acres, a visit to the zoo promises hours of excitement. Witness the splendor of Asian wildlife such as majestic elephants, regal Sumatran tigers, playful gibbons, and the awe-inspiring Komodo dragon in the Asian Rainforest exhibit. Explore the African Savannah to meet giraffes, hyenas, meerkats, and rhinoceros in their natural habitats.
Immerse yourself not only in the world of animals but also in the tranquility of the scenic surroundings by bringing your own picnic for a delightful meal on the grounds (with some restrictions on alcohol).
For those dedicated to wildlife conservation, the zoo offers various ways to contribute, including donations and community fundraising initiatives. Additionally, Perth Zoo hosts educational programs for children and youth, and allows students from year 4 onwards and community groups to experience overnight stays within the zoo premises (advance booking required).
Open daily from 9 AM to 5 PM.
Some areas or animals may be temporarily closed for upgrades or management reasons.
Children aged 3 and under enter free, while kids aged 4-15 enjoy discounted rates (ID required). Children must be accompanied by adults.
