Experience the captivating allure of geishas by immersing yourself in the traditional maiko lifestyle for a few hours. Studio Shiki, a renowned establishment in Kyoto, offers an unparalleled maiko transformation experience. Skilled hair and makeup artists, along with talented photographers, ensure a top-notch experience.
Embark on your metamorphosis with a meticulous makeup session featuring a porcelain-like base, intricate eyeliner, vibrant eyebrows, bold lipstick, and a delicate touch of blush to achieve the iconic maiko appearance. Dive into the world of geishas further with the zen-katsura, a wig styling session unique to maikos. Select your kimono from a stunning array of colors and patterns, complete with a fitting session including an obi (sash) and okobo (wooden sandals).
Guided by a professional photographer, you'll capture memorable moments within the studio. Following the photoshoot, you'll have the opportunity to take additional photos and videos. While the process may exceed 2 hours, the enchanting outcome makes every moment truly unforgettable.
Guests must be at least 145 cm tall to participate. Children aged 5-12 between 110-140cm can opt for a child plan.
This experience is not recommended for pregnant women.
Guests with skin conditions can choose a no-makeup option for their comfort.
Young children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout the experience.
Remember to bring personal items like makeup tools, foundation, and a camera.
For hygiene purposes, guests are required to purchase new socks on-site for JPY429. Alternatively, you can bring your own socks.
The studio is equipped with wash basins, a changing room, a hairbrush, and a hairdryer.
Please note that there is no shower room available at the studio.
You are allowed to bring food and drinks into the studio.
You will receive all your photos on the same day of your visit.
It takes approximately 15 minutes to get dressed. However, during peak seasons, weekends, and holidays, it may take up to an additional 30 minutes to an hour.
