Here's the deal: Calypso Cabaret is more than just a show, it's a burst of colours, energy, and expertly lip-synced performances by transgender artists (often called ladyboys) that's been wowing tourists for over three decades.

Performers switch through around 12-16 acts (depending on the version), from classic Oldies to K-pop jingles to traditional Thai and Korean dance. Expect glamour, drama, laughter and a drink in hand while you watch.

Know Before You Go

• The show itself is just over an hour, but with the waiting and seating, you'll probably spend closer to two hours in total.
• Seats are assigned, arriving early doesn't change your spot, but it does give you time to settle in.
• Photos are allowed in the lobby (lots of people take selfies there), but once the lights go down, cameras should stay off.
• This show is apt for individuals aged 5 and more.
