Before You Travel

Essential Documents

Prior to your trip, ensure you have the following original documents:

Your valid driver's license from your home country (temporary or paper licenses not accepted).

An International Driving Permit (IDP) issued in accordance with the Geneva Convention of 1949 (must be obtained from an officially recognized authority in your country).

Your passport.

Key Points about IDPs:

Make sure your IDP is issued by a sanctioned organization in your country (e.g., AAA in the US, CAA in Canada).

Note that IDPs based on the Vienna Convention of 1968 are not valid for driving in Japan.

Your IDP must be in physical booklet form, not digital or paper copies.

Without a physical copy of your IDP on the day of the activity, you will be unable to participate and will not receive a refund.

Remember to obtain your IDP before your trip as it cannot be issued in Japan.

It is the traveler's responsibility to have the correct documentation. Failure to comply will result in non-participation without a refund.

Additional Requirements for Visitors from Specific Countries

Individuals from Switzerland, Germany, France, Belgium, Monaco, Taiwan, and Estonia should have:

Your valid driver's license from your home country (temporary or paper licenses not accepted).
An official Japanese translation of your license issued by JAF (Japan Automobile Federation).
Your passport.

US Military Personnel:

Option 1: SOFA License (USFJ Form 4EJ).
Option 2: A combination of your active military ID and a driver's license from your home state.

Travelers from China, Brazil, and Indonesia are not permitted to drive in Japan as these countries are not part of the 1949 Geneva Convention.

Restricted Items

Participants must be at least 18 years old to take part in this experience.

Pregnant individuals and those with back or neck conditions are advised against participating for safety reasons.

For safety purposes, wearing flip-flops, sandals, and high heels is not permitted.
